Born in London, DJ Astrida (aka Gagan) has been exposed to a rich variety of musical environments since birth. Her first DJ set was at a gritty English rock club at the tender age of 17 – however, her journey into the world of psytrance began 10 years ago at a Hallucinogen rave in the capital city… and things have never been the same since.

Being heavily involved in the psy scene since then through LED/fire performance and hippie fashion, she more recently spread her creative wings to the world of DJing psychedelic music. It very quickly became a mad obsession and she has been relentlessly playing thus far all over Goa and the Himalayas.

DJ Astrida would describe her psytrance sets as “melodic, groovy, and positively uplifting journeys with a feminine flavour”. With a soft spot for Eastern melodies and female vocals, these sounds are often heard incorporated into the sets she weaves together. She has also dipped her toes into downtempo/tribal/glitch mixes. Her highly energetic vibe behind the decks – as well as her infectious positivity – is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a spring in your step!
